Position Overview:

The Senior Manager Platform Development provides advanced technical expertise to support the evolution of our operations within the wealth management space through the adoption of automation and Artificial Intelligence. Reporting to the AVP, Transformation Services, this individual will work with a team of professionals to identify, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and redefine our service delivery models.

 

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our Wealth Management Operations & Enterprise Contact Centres. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinker, a self-directed learner passionate about emerging AI technologies, and adept at translating complex technical capabilities into tangible business value.

 

Major Responsibilities Include:

 

AI and Automation Strategy:

  • Lead for the evolution of key platforms, including Digital Forms, Operations Processing Portal and other core systems, with a focus on integrating AI and machine learning capabilities.
  • Develop and own the product roadmap for automation and AI, defining features, priorities, and milestones that align with the WMO’s vision and corporate objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of emerging AI technologies and automation trends to inform strategic decision-making.

 

Leadership and Execution:

  • Work with and mentor a team of specialists, managing resource allocation and overseeing work assignments related to transformation initiatives.
  • Drive the end-to-end project lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and post-launch support.
  • Act as the WMO lead for AI-driven transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and seamless integration with existing processes.
  • Oversee change management activities, identifying impacts and creating countermeasures to encourage the adoption of new technologies and processes

 

Collaboration and Oversight:

  • Collaborate with business owners, IT partners, and senior leaders to champion the vision for an AI-enabled operational model.
  • Provide expert consultation on business process redesign, leveraging a deep understanding of both current-state operations and future-state technological possibilities.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates on program progress, key performance indicators, and realized benefits to senior management.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of solutions by reviewing and approving test plans, supporting "Day in the Life" (DITL) testing, and overseeing readiness activities.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably within wealth management.
  • Proven track record leading complex business transformation or technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrable experience with automation, process re-engineering, and technology implementation. Exposure to front and back-office servicing is a strong asset.

 

Technical and Analytical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of modern AI concepts and technologies, including Agentic AIMachine Learning, and Intelligent Document Management, with an eye for practical applications that drive operational efficiencies.
  • Experience with and advanced knowledge of automation platforms, specifically Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Agentic AI, Intelligent OCR and an understanding of how to scale these solutions.
  • Familiarity with basic programming logicand an aptitude for understanding complex technical workflows and platform architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess unusual or complex issues, and determine practical solutions.

 

Leadership and Communication:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate a compelling vision for AI and automation to varied audiences.
  • Proactive, with solid decision-making skills and the ability to operate effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • A passionate self-learner, comfortable with ambiguity and driven to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to apply them effectively to foster technology adoption.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite and alternative communication/analytical tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Computer Science).

 

 

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $87,000 - $112,500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
