Position Details: 

Product Strategy, Research, Governance and Oversight team, Investment Product is currently hiring an intern looking for a fall term position, September to December 2026. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and plan to return to school after completing the internship to be eligible to apply. 

Product Strategy, Research, Governance and Oversight team plays a key role in pioneering new avenues of value through creative foresight while strengthening our core business through disciplined product strategy and rigorous oversight. 

The role will work cross functionally within the team and will primarily report to the Director of Product Technology, Data Infrastructure, and Reporting.  

Located in our Toronto office, the intern will be responsible for the following activities: 

• Work with members of the team to build out a product database for reporting, insights and analysis 

• Build and automate reports for use within the team, across the division and for senior leadership 

• Build out a web server for self-serve insights, reports, and dashboards 

• Build semi-automated and fully automated data pipelines for scheduling and orchestration of data to build capacity and reduce errors 

• Participate in architecture discussions about building new functionality 

• Attend to ad hoc data and analytics requests in a timely manner 

• Collaborate with other associates across the team and within the division to service the business 

Requirements:  

• Registered students returning to school in 2026 in field related to finance and/or technology  

• Programming skills in Python (Jupyter, pandas, flask), SQL, and Javascript (Reactjs) 

• Mathematics skills in any of: financial math, statistics, machine learning 

• Financial instrument and industry knowledge 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, judgment & decision-making skills  

• Ability to self-motivate and prioritize time-sensitive deadlines 

• Resourceful and creative in solving new/non-recurring problems through research and well-supported analysis and business acumen 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is $49,000 - $51,000, which is determined based on year of study, IGM program, geographic location and candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for paid time off.
