The Role: As a member of our Digital Platform team at IGM Financial, you will be joining an agile and innovative technology group with experience in and passion for delivering differentiated experience and innovative solutions for our clients, advisors, and employees using digital technology and data-driven insights. As an AEM Platform & Release Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall health and efficient usage of the organization’s AEM platform and digital assets are well-managed, secure, and easily accessible, supporting efficient and effective use across the organization.

You will also be integral to a team focused on enhancing and further automating our DevOps process including improvements to digital code delivery, automation of manual release tasks, and integration of our internal systems with SaaS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), etc. You will be working collaboratively with a team of release engineers, software developers, and business architects/analysts to improve our delivery processes, correct errors, and assess delivery health and performance. In order to enable successful and timely change management and production implementations, you will work closely with the business and technology stakeholders at IG Wealth Management and Mackenzie Investments partnering up with external suppliers and vendors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release management & Change Management
    • Plan, coordinate and execute code deployment across different environments including stage and PROD in AEM as a Cloud Service
    • Manage release calendars, ensuring alignment with business priorities and minimizing downtime
    • Provide clear communication on release status, issues and timelines
    • Collaborate with development teams to create, review and merge PRs across multiple branches
    • Maintain branching strategies for feature development, hotfixes and releases
    • Own the change management process including creating and submitting change tickets
    • Represent the team in TRB and CAB meetings

 

  • System Maintenance and Optimization
    • Employ system reporting, monitoring tools and periodic audits to measure the technical health of AEM platform
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of programs and environments within AEM Cloud Manager to optimize platform performance. Serve as the primary contact for any AEM-related issues, including liaising with Adobe support to resolve technical problems
    • Stay current with Adobe AEM release notes, assess the impact of updates on code, and ensure applications are consistently up-to-date, secure, and compatible with new features and maintenance updates.
    • Configure domain settings, SSL mapping, and IP range assignments across different environments to ensure seamless operation
    • Implement routine DAM clean up and archiving practices.
    • Monitor and analyze website traffic, and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings to protect against threats

 

  • Integration and Collaboration
    • Implement and manage integrations within AEM, including out-of-the-box connectors to Adobe products to enhance functionality
    • Collaborate with marketing, HR, creative, and content teams to ensure assets meet organizational standards and are effectively utilized

 

  • User Support and Training
    • Provision, manage and audit AEM user accounts and profile for fulltime, contractor and agency users
    • Create, maintain and publish project/technical process and configuration documentation and training materials for both application users and departmental leadership
    • Develop comprehensive training materials as user guides and best practices for asset management for ongoing reference.
    • Serve as the go-to expert for any AEM-related issues or questions, ensuring smooth operation and user support
    • Train business team members and development partners to ensure that any new functionality for AEM Assets meets technical requirements, gets tested and implemented as required
    • Document DAM processes and standards and manage communications with business partners.

 

  • Security and Compliance
    • Identify and address non-compliance with operating procedures among users
    • Use Assets reports and periodic audits to identify non-compliance items and helps business or partners to bring the content into compliance
    • Ensure the security and integrity of digital assets.
    • Manage permissions and access controls to protect sensitive content

 

The Successful Candidate Will Have the Following Experience

  • Financial Services Industry experience required
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform administration and deployments. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and branching strategies.
  • Experience managing releases in enterprise environments with strict compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of Adobe Experience Cloud including AEM, RTCDP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc
  • Knowledge of metadata standards and digital asset workflows
  • Experience with AEM integrations, including connectors to Adobe products and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with API-based integrations between AEM and CRM/Marketing platforms
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and act as a point of contact for technical issues.
  • Ability to continuously improve and optimize asset management processes.
  • Experience in using JAVA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTL, JSP, Sling Model and JCR
  • Experience and confidence using version management tools
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, and Confluence
  • Experience with automation tools and automated pipeline processes
  • University degree required
  • Master’s degree in technology desired

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $91,000 - $114,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
