The Role:

As a valued member of the Ivy Team, you will be part of a distinct investment boutique. Ivy has built a reputation for carefully compounding client capital over long periods, and every member of the team recognizes the importance of their role in helping unitholders achieve their financial objectives.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys being part of a team, can use strong communication skills to create shared understanding, and remains open to differing views. The successful candidate is a self-starter who manages time effectively and has a deeply rooted desire to win.

  

Key responsibilities:

The individual will contribute to idea generation, portfolio construction, and continuous process improvement. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth company and industry research to build and maintain a watch list of investable companies.
  • Presenting research findings to the team in a clear, accessible way that promotes strong team-wide understanding.
  • Embracing the Ivy methodology of analysis and communication to support comparability of work across the team.
  • Providing investment ideas that help meet the fund’s holistic performance objectives and desired risk characteristics.
  • Taking ownership of holdings within their coverage, providing timely updates to the team and communicating any required actions.
  • Participating in portfolio construction discussions to help ensure an appropriate balance of upside participation and downside protection.
  • Contributing to an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Acting as a steward of the Ivy brand by promoting the philosophy and values through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate:

  • Well organized with strong modeling skills.
  • 5-10 years of industry experience with an emphasis on quality of experience rather than tenure alone.
  • Experience with Canadian equities is an asset.
  • CFA charterholder or working towards the designation.
