The Opportunity
Reporting to the SVP of Wealth Management Operations and Enterprise Contact Centres (WMO & ECC), the Vice President, Strategic Solutions & Operations Oversight will lead teams responsible for Managed Solutions, Estates, Business Operations Support, Automation Strategy, Data Strategy & Insights to advance automation and AI, while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture across hybrid teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Managed Portfolio Operations, Estates Settlements, Operational Solutions & Continuous Improvement
- Responsible for all operations and administration relating to Managed Solutions products including iProfile and Separate Managed Accounts
- Responsible for all operations and administration relating to Estate account servicing including case management, processing and tax preparations
- Provide vision, leadership and expertise to the Estate Automation project
- Product Owner for Operations processing platforms and automation workflows
Business Operations Support & Controls
- Responsible for operational controls, reconciliations & settlements, tax reporting and client print communications
- Build an Operational Controls & Oversight team that is responsible for implementing and managing a controls framework to deliver and report on operational excellence, focusing on risk and operational resiliency
- Lead the development of the Level 1B operational risk framework, leveraging and aligning to the Corporate risk taxonomy, control standards, risk assessment methodology and governance model
Automation and AI Strategy
- Provide executive sponsorship and strategic guidance for the operations automation and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business and transformation goals
- Support and empower automation and AI initiatives, helping to prioritize efforts, remove barriers, and advocate for resources and cross-functional collaboration
- Champion a long-term vision for automation that embeds AI-first thinking across Operations, promoting innovation, scalability, and measurable impact across the organization
Data Strategy
- Sponsor and set the strategic vision for the Operations data strategy, aligning with enterprise goals and driving both immediate impact and long-term transformation
- Champion the integration and use of operational data to generate actionable insights for internal teams and key business partners, fostering a data-driven culture
- Lead cross-functional collaboration and governance efforts to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities
People & Culture
- Inspire a culture of innovation, agility, and collaboration across diverse teams.
- Develop leadership pipelines and support career growth through coaching and mentorship.
- Promote employee engagement and well-being in hybrid a environment
Enterprise Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships and influence senior leaders across Distribution, Investment Solutions, Advisor & Client Experience, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to drive alignment in service delivery and strategic outcomes
- Strengthen relationships with advisors, dealers and strategic stakeholders
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Business or related field; MBA or industry certifications (e.g., CSC, IFIC) are assets.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in client operations or process design, reengineering and automation, ideally in financial services or tech-forward industries.
- Strong project management experience and executive presence.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
As this position is posted in Montréal, Toronto and Winnipeg, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.
