Primary Responsibilties:

This role is a versatile position that integrates front office support, operations, and finance.

  • Support front office and assist in enhancing functionality by optimizing Bloomberg tools for the Investment Team, ensuring the accuracy of data and risk analytic models.
  • Perform daily morning checks and reconciliations of positions and cash for all funds and ETFs, including updating cash balance forecasts for traders.
  • Handle special settlement situations and coordinate with the Middle Office BNYM team on unmatched trades.
  • Oversee proxy voting and corporate actions.
  • Post journals to the SAP accounting system and maintain bank reconciliations and petty cash.
  • Process expense spreadsheets and invoices, and calculate funds advisory fees
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, audited financial statements, board reports, and budget documentation.
  • General office support

 

The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out these responsibilities:

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting/finance/business/commerce, or equivalent 
  • 3+ years in a fund management operations or related position
  • Good knowledge of equity, bond, and FX settlement cycle process across the region
  • A high level of proficiency in using both Bloomberg and Excel
  • Participating in departmental initiatives and projects
  • Excellent command of written and verbal communication in both English and Cantonese, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with proven research and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment and deal with fluctuating work volumes
