The Business Intelligence and Foresight team is an integral part of the IGM Strategy, Planning, and Analysis function and is responsible for planning & forecasting infrastructure/support, core expense and FTE reporting, month-end close, ownership of chart of accounts relating to Expense Management within SAP, development and maintenance of data models within data warehouses, as well as spearheading numerous projects relating to exploration of data within the SAP HANA/BW environments leading to automation of key reports. The team also collaborates extensively across IGM Strategy, Planning, and Analysis; IGM Data Services; and reporting functions within Finance & Distribution.

 

This role as Sr Specialist, Financial Analysis & Insights will be part of a core team responsible for supporting Finance Business Partners in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop financial forecasts and annual plans.
  • Prepare and review FTE and financial reports with business leaders.
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance commentaries.
  • Support month-end close activities.
  • Analyze and reconcile General ledger account transactions and balances.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Provide monthly financial deck to business leaders with insights on financial performance versus benchmarks.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or CPA, with 5+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in FTE and financial planning & forecasting.
  • Experience with SAP, including BPC and data visualization tools (Tableau and Power BI) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
