    The Strategic Sourcing group is a critical part of the Investors Group / Mackenzie Investments (IGM Financial) Corporate Services Group. You will work with our Headquarter and Distribution Senior Leadership teams to develop the execution disciplines and program/project management skills to help effectively deliver on our strategic priorities and plans in both real estate and facilities.


    Reporting to the AVP Corporate Services, Strategic Sourcing, the Director, Procurement Portfolio will influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier consolidation, cost savings and cost avoidance efforts. You will partner with senior management to proactively develop strategies for high risk/complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives. You will gather and analyze data to create playbooks and strategies to support the different business models for products and services contemplated or currently under contract and prepare findings for senior management. You will develop and negotiate complex, strategically critical, high value or high-risk contract strategies that will provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to IGM businesses and optimize total value generated by the IGM supplier base.



    • Understanding business issues, identifying the needs of stakeholders and propose strategies considering the diversity of files to support the implementation of activities
    • Act as an expert advisor to stakeholders and leaders in various sectors and support the achievement of activities by providing high level expertise
    • Demonstrate expertise in the complete management of the procurement process as well as the various stakeholders (Initiatives Management), promote the process and associated tools
    • Leveraging emerging technology vision to create winning Procurement strategies in both technology products and services
    • Lead major and complex sourcing initiatives across IGM
    • Negotiate, execute and deploy optimal world class solutions across all external spend transactions
    • Write and manage RFP, RFQ, RFI
    • Leads decision making and provides recommendations to our IGM partners on initiatives that significantly impact operational effectiveness and efficiency;
    • Lead contract negotiations with external suppliers in partnership with the partners to deliver on the requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in consulting, financial analysis, supplier management and project management roles
    • Experience in information analysis from various sources (Products, Services, Expenses / Costs, Markets, etc.);
    • Strong experience in negotiation
    • Strong leadership skills and well-developed impact and influence skills, with a proven track record of building strong relationships across business functions
    • Proven success managing processes and multiple ongoing priorities
