    The Role

     

    We are currently looking for a Senior Process Design Specialist to join our Business Architecture and Design department as part of either Mackenzie Investments (Toronto)or Investors Group (Winnipeg).   

     

    The Business Architecture and Design team is responsible for driving the introduction and operationalization of process, service and platform change across Corporate Operations, adopting an end-to-end enterprise wide perspective to ensure streamlined, integrated solutions are implemented that focus on the client and advisor experience.

     

    The Senior Process Design Specialist will work closely with Business Architecture in the evaluation of various initiatives to determine how process design will contribute to the meeting of an initiative’s goals as well as alignment with a strategic roadmap, service blueprint or other documents providing high level guidance.  The Specialist will be actively engaged at the high level, strategic phases and will be expected to provide leadership in determining which process design tools and methodologies are most appropriate for a given initiative.  This role additionally calls for effective communication and negotiation skills which will be critical in gaining support from key stakeholders and other key actors.

     

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Based on the high level goals and strategic alignment of an initiative, determine the appropriate level of Process Design engagement.
    • Determine which methodological approach is best suited to the initiative to ensure a thorough understanding of the opportunities for improvement.
    • Design and propose new processes or modified processes which support the initiative’s goals, leverage opportunities identified in analysis and have measurable KPIs. Ensure alignment with goals, roadmap, blueprint, etc.
    • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals, socialize proposals and garner support from key stakeholders.
    • Where needed, work with Architecture and other practitioners to integrate the process design proposal into the larger initiative and work collaboratively to ensure the benefits of the process design are maximized.
    • Provide leadership to the Design Process team to ensure effective collaboration with other practices and ensure that Process Design is contributing maximum value.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of business management or consulting experience within financial services industry, or consulting firms; solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, product development, project management, marketing and sales, etc.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proven record of high performance and achievements in your past positions
    • Certification in industry recognized methodologies and practices such as Lean Entreprise, Six Sigma, Value Mapping or other will be ideal.
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment
    • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
    • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively which lead to positive influence and support from key stakeholders.
