    The Client Services Operations (CSO) Transformation Services (TS) department is a key stakeholder in assisting with the transformation of the business by leveraging technology and automation to meet the organization’s strategic mandate. The team acts as the CSO lead in all business and technology initiatives related to transformation by providing subject matter expertise and representing the division through active participation.  TS is also responsible for the service organizations’ Risk Management functions, as well as Mortgage, Insurance, Legacy and Compensation servicing.


    Supporting the Manager, CSO Transformation, the Process Consultant is responsible to coordinate and execute assigned CSO knowledge based functions for business transformation initiatives spanning multiple automation work streams.  The role acts as a process and procedural expert, and will provide knowledge to outline the operational practices which will support the integration of new technologies and approaches. The Process Consultant will actively engage and collaborate with initiative participants and with CSO stakeholders to achieve business transformation goals.


    Major Responsibilities Include:

    • Drives the process discovery of current state procedures for transformation and automation initiatives
    • Gathers data and provides analysis for operational knowledge based activities
    • Validates and summarizes observations; makes recommendations that will support the development of business requirements when applicable
    • Assists with the establishment of future state standard operating procedures and documents new processes
    • Assists with testing of solutions
    • Prepares related documentation to support any change management activities
    • Reviews the new process and assists with the evaluation of efficiencies and quality improvements realized



    • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or a relevant field
    • Greater than 5 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry
    • Experience with process workflow discovery and documentation of process
    • In-depth knowledge of Mackenzie Investments and/or Investors Group Administrative Policies and Procedures
    • Experience and/or exposure to front and back office servicing
    • Business process improvement mindset or background would be an asset
    • Proactive within a deadline oriented environment and demonstrates solid decision-making and multi-tasking skills
    • Experience participating in project working groups
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Effective presentation skills
    • Well-developed problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
    • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) or alternative communication/analytical tools
    • Knowledge of SAS, TreX and/or SSUI/Transact
    • Proficiency in Visual Basic is an asset



    • University Degree; ideally Business related
    • Successful completion of IFIC and CSC is an asset
