    The Role

    Our Human Resources department at IGM is looking to add a Benefits Administrator to join our HR team.  Working closely with the Benefits team, the Benefits Administrator will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our employees and supporting the Human Resources department.


    Reporting to the Manager, Benefits and Disability IGM, the Benefits Administrator will have the following key responsibilities:

     

    • Providing front line customer service to internal clients by responding to inquiries from employees and managers regarding human resources policies, procedures and programs
    • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all employee benefit programs
    • Providing administrative support to the Human Resources department and the organization for programs including Group RRSP, Employee Share Purchase Plan and Employee Health Benefit Programs
    • Maintaining and auditing data in SAP for employee programs and benefits
    • Coordinating timekeeping and maternity/parental leave processes
    • Preparing and distributing communication materials to employees
    • Actively participating in the Health, Wellness and Safety Committee to promote a safe work environment and employee wellness initiatives;
    • Providing back-up to team members and participate in projects/initiatives as required

     

     The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in accomplishing these functions:

     

    • 1-2 years of Administrative Experience (Previous Benefit Administrative experience is an asset)
    • Relevant post-secondary education with a goal of attaining CHRL or CEBS designations
    • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks on an on-going basis
    • Highly detail-oriented and accurate
    • Service oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
    • Strong interpersonal and adaptability skills
    • Displays a high degree of tact and integrity
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
    • Familiarity with SAP is an asset
