    The Role

     

    The Human Resources Department at Mackenzie Investments is accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator.  Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition & Strategy, this role will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our employees and supporting the Human Resources Consultants.   The ideal candidate is driven, highly organized, an outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask and adapt as priorities shift in a fast paced environment.

     

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

     

    Relationship Management

    • Providing front line customer service to internal clients by responding to inquiries from employees and managers regarding human resources policies, procedures and programs

     

    Administrative Support:

    • Providing Administrative support to the IGM HR Consultants, including, (but not limited to): Offer letters, promotion letters, secondment letters, new hire forms, change forms, etc.
    • Submitting background check requests to BackCheck and following up as needed
    • Creating new hire files & collecting forms

     

    Recruitment & On-boarding:

    • Post positions on appropriate websites and coordinate the postings, candidate lists and ensure positions are closed on applicant tracking system (ICIM’s) once filled
    • Coordinate interviews for Recruiter/HRC’s
    • Prepare New Hire Orientation by sending out ICIMS link
    • Conduct employee on-boarding and new hire orientations

     

    Reporting:

    • Manage contract renewal or expiry process directly with the leaders and contract staff and external agencies where applicable
    • Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly reports, input and check data for accuracy (Recruitment reporting & Metrics)
    • Preparing reports for client groups
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis for HRC’s as requested

     

    Other:

    • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
    • Assisting in projects as required
    • Providing back-up to team members and participating in projects/initiatives as required

     

    We encourage you to apply if you have the following qualifications:

     

    • 1-2 years of Administrative Experience (Previous HR Administrative experience is an asset)
    • Relevant post-secondary education with a goal of attaining CHRL
    • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks on an on-going basis
    • Highly detail-oriented and accurate
    • Service oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Effective time management skills
    • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
    • Strong interpersonal and adaptability skills
    • Displays a high degree of tact and integrity
    • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
    • Familiarity with SAP is an asset
    • Experience in working with an Applicant Tracking System is an asset
