    The Role

     

    We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager, Operational Reporting to join our Winnipeg team. This position is responsible for the preparation of certain product and industry analysis and reporting for IGM Financial Inc. and its subsidiaries.  The Assistant Manager is required to prepare accurate and timely analysis and reporting to internal management and external users and is responsible for the integrity and control of the data and the various systems relied upon to provide that data. In addition, this position also provides support to other members of the division who require product related data.

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Review / preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end product analysis and reporting for senior management, the Board of Directors and Committees of the Board.
    • Providing financial and operational analysis and reporting for internal management. This will include both on- going and ad hoc analysis and reporting and will involve the building of efficient processes to provide that on-going reporting on a timely basis.
    • Involvement in corporate/departmental projects as required.
    • Involvement in the design and testing of the corporation’s data warehouses
    • Involvement in the ongoing development of financial reporting to ensure that reporting meets the changing business needs.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 4 to 7 years experience in operational or financial and statistical analysis and reporting for internal management and external users.
    • Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Management Information Systems or Finance and holding or working towards a recognized designation (preferably CFA or Certified Business Analyst (CBAP)).
    • Strong, proven analytical skills and a high level of accountability.
    • Expert knowledge of and experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Experience with the SAP Business Warehouse reporting tools would be an asset.
